St. Joseph’s Collegiate Institute junior Tyler Ferretti of Lockport has been selected to play in the Pirate City Christmas Baseball Tournament in Bradenton, Fla., Dec. 27-30.
Ferretti, a shortstop and right-handed pitcher for the Marauders, is coached by Rock Mariano, Paul Nasca and Dave Alverez.
Based on Tyler’s impressive tryout performance Nov. 15 in Rochester, Baseball Factory Scouts selected him to compete in the prestigious tourney, which will feature some of the best players from throughout the country.
BFS is recognized as a leader in college placement and player development in the country.
