COMMENTARY: Fragale-led An-Jo making progress
JOHN D’ONOFRIO: They deserve our support
LOCKPORT — From the moment Todd Fragale first walked onto the scene, the Lockport An-Jo Baseball League has made a slow, tedious, progressive climb from near extinction into a local youth organization that can look positively on its present and future.
Under Fragale’s sincere and dedicated leadership as president, An-Jo Baseball’s triumphant comeback began a few years ago, when things looked bleakest.
Despite low participation numbers in his first year, Fragale trudged on with not only his trademark hard work and a P.R. performance for the ages, but with a confidence in himself and conviction in the league that only those who were around him then can attest to.
From top to bottom, Fragale and his outstanding organization, which now includes local public relations legend John Isherwood, have worked long and hard to convert a dying league into a city treasure once again.
They deserve not only our praise and thanks, but our support as well.
