BLOTTER: Police reports published on Oct. 4


City of Lockport

• HARASSMENT: Roxanne Rivers, 32, 178 Niagara St., Apt. 2E, was charged Saturday with second-degree harassment. Police were called to Niagara Street for a domestic incident and found Rivers intoxicated. Rivers accused a man of pushing her down the stairs, but police could not determine if this was true, the report said. Rivers said she was just getting her belongings and leave. Officers did see Rivers slammed her hip into a man while going up the stairs and pushed him down, the report said. Rivers is due Wednesday in Lockport City Court.

• MARIJUANA: Martin Stephen, 40, 325 Michigan St., Apt. B, was charged Saturday with unlawful possession of marijuana and having a alcoholic beverage in his vehicle. Police stopped Stephen on South Transit for a traffic violation. While talking to Stephen, officers noticed a strong odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle, the report said, also on the driver’s side there was brown cigar paper stuck to the side of the vehicle. Officers allegedly found a bag of green leafy vegetable matter and a marijuana cigar rolled up in brown paper on Stephen and a scale used to weigh narcotics. There was a plastic cup with whiskey and ice on the driver’s side, the report said. Stephen is due Tuesday in Lockport City Court.

• POSSESSION: Nicholas Boron, 19, 40 Independence Drive, was charged Friday with unlawful possession of marijuana. Police were called to Independence Drive for a loud party. Police saw noticed a strong odor of burnt marijuana and saw Boron smoking it in a bedroom. The report said Boron admitted it was his. Boron is due Tuesday in Lockport City Court.

• CRIMINAL MISCHIEF: Steven Pinkert, 23, 123 Nichols St., Apt. 5, was charged Friday with second-degree harassment and third-degree criminal mischief. A North Transit Street man said Pinkert and a Newfane man had gotten into a verbal argument. Pinkert allegedly said, “If I had my SKS, I’d shoot you.” Pinkert threw a golf ball at the North Transit Street man’s vehicle causing $250 damage to the windshield and hit the left corner of the vehicle causing $1,750 damage. Pinkert is due Monday in Lockport City Court.

• BURGLARY: A Pine Lane woman told police sometime between 10 p.m. Oct. 1 and 10 a.m. Oct. 2, an unknown person entered the house and took a purse containing two checks and $23 in cash. The victim said the purse was in a cabinet located just inside the kitchen area. The report said the front door to the house was unlocked and both the victim and her husband were asleep.
