City of Lockport

HARASSMENT: Michael J. Zuehlke Jr., 18, 8687 Rebecca Drive, Williamsville was charged with second-degree harassment and third-degree menacing Monday. The alleged offense took place on Cottage Street on Friday.  According to the report, the victim was walking on John Street with his juvenile friends when Zuehlke walked up and punched him in the face and threatened the victim. The police were unable to find Zuehlke. He turned himself in Monday. 

CHARGED: Grandville Sanders Jr., 24, 340 Washburn St., upper was charged with second-degree criminal contempt, aggravated unlicensed operation and an equipment violation Sunday. Sanders was driving a vehicle with a cracked windshield on Caledonia Street. He had a suspended driver’s license. 

Wilson

DWI: Frederick E. Fay, 62, 2410 Harwood Ave. was charged with aggravated unlicensed operation, driving while intoxicated and failure to keep right. The patrol observed a red Chevrolet Cavalier on Lake Road in the area of Tuscarora Park cross over the yellow center line multiple times at 3 a.m. According to the report, Fay had glassy eyes and slurred speech. He failed field sobriety tests. Fay was administered a preliminary breath screening which showed the presence of alcohol in his breath. Fay stated he would not submit to a chemical test to determine the alcohol content of his blood until he spoke to his lawyer. Fay’s driver's license showed three suspensions on three separate dates. Fay had prior suspensions from the Town of Cheektowaga, the Village of Depew and the Town of Wheatfield all for failure to answer a summons. Fay is scheduled to appear in the Town of Wilson Court at 7 p.m. today.

Cambria

GRAND LARCENY: Plank Road residents reported 13 Koi fish, valued at $3,900. were missing from their small pond. The ornamental varieties of domesticated carp are valued at approximately $300 a piece The fish were in the pond within the last week. When the victims came out to move some sea weed back, there were no fish in the pond. 

Wheatfield

GRAND LARCENY: Two ATVs were reported taken from a garage on Lancelot Drive between 12:30 a.m. and 6 a.m. Sunday. A 2010 white and black Yamaha Raptor was valued at $10,000. The ATV had red flames on the gas tank. A green 2011 Honda is valued at $11,000.

Cambria

DWI: Melissa J. Ward, 42, 4969 Blacknose Spring Road, Sanborn was charged with drinking alcohol in motor vehicle on the highway, driving while intoxicated and failure to keep right Sunday. At about 4 a.m., the sheriff’s patrol observed a vehicle cross over the center line numerous times on Ridge Road. According to the report, Ward had have glassy eyes, slurred speech, poor coordination and a open bottle of beer in the center counsel. She failed field sobriety tests. Ward refused to take a breath test.

Hartland

DWI: Vito J. Peritore, 56, Countyline Road, Middleport was charged with driving while intoxicated, failure to stop at a stop sign and speed not reasonable and prudent Sunday. At approximately 3:42 a.m. patrol responded for a vehicle in the ditch. Peritore was standing on the side of the road talking with the Hartland Fire Department members. According to the report, Peritore had glassy eyes and impaired motor coordination. Peritore was traveling south bound on Quaker road at an alleged unsafe speed as he approached the intersection of Ridge Road. He slid through the stop sign intersection, leaving skid marks through the intersection. The vehicle continued through the intersection and ended up in the ditch on the Southwest corner of the road. Peritore failed field sobriety tests and was transported to Medina Hospital for evaluation of a medical condition.
