City of Lockport

AGGRAVATED UNLICENSED: Thomas J. McCraith, 28, 88 Webb St. was charged Saturday with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle. According to the report, Lockport Police initiated a traffic stop after McCraith, who has a suspended license, failed to stop at a stop sign. He is scheduled to appear Wednesday in City Court.

Town of Newfane

MISSING PERSON: The Niagara County Sheriff's Department was called to the Olcott Post Office Saturday on a report of a missing person. According to the report, Michael Jabot told the patrol that his stepson, Antonio Amarena, had ran away from W. Washington St. residence in the hamlet of Olcott. He was last seen on his bicycle, possibly heading towards the City of Lockport, in jeans and a black sweatshirt. Amarena is described as Hispanic, approximately 5'9", 130 lbs. with black hair and blue eyes. Patrol interviewed the mother of the missing juvenile, Sonia Amarena, via telephone. She told the patrol that her son is known to carry a large knife on him at all times and has previously threatened family members with it. Patrol checked the immediate area for the juvenile with negative results. Missing persons information was forwarded to dispatch. City of Lockport Police also notified.

Town of Lockport

PETIT LARCENY: Julie Ann Smith, 40, 681 Market Street was charged Saturday with petit larceny. According to the report, the Niagara County Sheriff's Department arrested Smith as a result of an incident at the South Transit Road Walmart. She is scheduled to appear Oct. 16 in Town of Lockport Court.

Town of Hartland

STOLEN PROPERTY: Alexander L. Baldwin, 24, Middleport was arrested by State Police Saturday for fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property stemming from an incident reported in June.
