City of Lockport
• CHARGED: Daniel K. DeCarlo, 49, 198 Pine St., was charged Sunday with failure to keep right, failure to signal, driving while intoxicated and third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation. DeCarlo was observed failing to keep right at 12:15 a.m. Sunday on Church Street. He also failed to signal and stopped at a driveway on North Transit. DeCarlo had glassy eyes, slurred speech and the odor of alcoholic beverage. He failed field sobriety tests.
• CHARGED: Jason McDermott, 33, 38 Evans St., was charged with third-degree criminal mischief. A neighbor complained she was being harassed by McDermott who said that the woman speeds in their common driveway endangering his children. According to the report, McDermott admitted throwing a beer bottle at her car Saturday night and broke the rear passenger window. The victim requested an order of protection.
• CHARGED: Joseph R. Kress, 23, 48 Waterman St. Upper, was charged with two counts of third-degree possession of a controlled substance. Patrol responded to Waterman Street on Saturday for the report of breaking glass. According to the report, Kress said he accidentally broke the door window with a golf club. During the investigation, the police found suspected cocaine on the coffee table and in a prescription bottle hidden in the cushion of a chair. Also found was more than $400 in cash and a smoking pipe under the sofa.
Town of Lockport
• CHARGED: Bradley J. Kunkle, 23, 7367 Transit Road, East Amherst, was charged Sunday with aggravated driving while intoxicated; first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, drinking alcohol in a motor vehicle on highway and moving from lane unsafely. At 5 a.m. Sunday, patrol executed a traffic stop on South Transit Road in the Town of Lockport. The patrol could detect a strong odor of alcoholic beverage and observed bloodshot eyes and impaired speech. An ice cold Labatt Blue beer bottle was in the cup holder of the vehicle. Kunkle failed all tests given by patrol and was then taken into custody at Niagara County Jail. Kunkle registered 0.23 percent blood alcohol content. Bail was set at $750 and the defendant was ordered to appear Tuesday in the Town of Lockport.

• CRIMINAL MISCHIEF: An Alder Creek Drive South resident reported an unknown person cut the cables on her Direct TV dish sometime overnight between Saturday and Sunday. The damage was $50.
• RECOVERED PROPERTY: A Walmore Road resident found a front bumper of a truck in the front lawn with the license plate still attached Saturday afternoon. The resident heard a truck and looked outside and saw the occupant looking at the bumper. The license plate revealed that the vehicle the was involved in an accident at 4:45 a.m. Saturday on the railroad tracks off Liberty Drive.
