WELFARE: Christopher Jones, 43, and Anita Montpetit, 48, 4244 Freeman Road, Middleport, were charged Sunday with endangering the welfare of a child and giving or selling alcohol to a person under 21 years of age. Niagara County Sheriff’s deputies reported they arrived at Freeman Road after Medina Hospital reported a 18-year-old man was brought in from a party at that location. He was reported to be highly intoxicated and unresponsive. Deputies said they saw multiple underage persons who appeared intoxicated and reportedly found alcoholic beverages inside the residence. Both Jones and Montpetit said the kids were home from college and were having a party. Keys from all the drivers were taken before the party began, the report said. Both Jones and Montpetit were released on appearance tickets and are due to appear Dec. 4 in Royalton Town Court.
