City of Lockport
DWI: Julio C. Vazquez, 28, 5757 Glendale Drive, Apartment A, was charged Saturday with diving while intoxicated, driving with a blood alcohol content above .08 of one percent, and multiple traffic and vehicle violations. According to the report, Lockport Police observed a strong odor of alcohol on Vazquez’s breath after they had initiated a traffic stop for speeding. He was transported to LPD for testing due to his inability to speak English. A Spanish-speaking officer administered several field sobriety tests, which Vazquez failed. He is scheduled to appear in City Court Wednesday.
DISORDERLY CONDUCT: Kenneth S. Thompson, 19, 383 Mill Street, was charged Friday with resisting arrest, disorderly conduct, obstructing governmental administration and multiple bicycle equipment violations. According to the report, Lockport Police observed Thompson making circles on a bicycle in the roadway and in the path of vehicles. He was uncooperative when police told him off his violations, pedaling away when asked to get off of his bike. The reporting officer chased Thompson and brought him to the ground. He is scheduled to appear Wednesday in City Court.
