DWI: Richard J. Wodka, 27, 4227 Lower Mountain Road, was arrested at 4:02 a.m. Saturday by Lockport police on West Avenue and charged with driving while intoxicated, failure to signal, two counts of failure to stop and a vehicle license plate infraction. According to the police report, patrol observed Wodka commit a traffic infraction and instigated a traffic stop. As patrol approached the vehicle, Wodka said, “I had too much to drink. I shouldn’t be driving,” the report said. Wodka failed field sobriety tests and was held on $250 bail. His vehicle was towed and he is slated to be arraigned at 9 a.m. Wednesday in City Court.
HARASSMENT: Roderico R. Madore, 18, 13 South St. Apt. 2, was arrested at 3 a.m. Saturday by Lockport police and charged with harassment, criminal obstruction of breathing and false personation. According to the report, patrol responded to a South Street address for a domestic incident and were told that a guy named “Rico” had choked a woman at the South Street address but left and went to Roderico’s address. When police arrived, Madore and the woman were at the apartment. She told patrol that he had choked her. While being questioned, Madore told patrol his name was Roderico Vasquez, leading to the false personation charge. LPD states that Madore has active warrants from Erie County. The victim was granted an order of protection and Madore is scheduled to appear in City Court at 9 a.m. Wednesday.
DWI: Brandon J. Harris, 26, 38 N. Main Street, Apt. 2, Middleport, was arrested by LPD at 11:18 p.m. Friday on Church Street and charged with driving while intoxicated, improper lane use, and aggravated unlicensed operation. According to the police report, officers were dispatched to an accident at 10:22 p.m., finding that Harris’ vehicle had struck a parked vehicle on the road. As officers interviewed Harris, they noticed an oder of alcohol emanating from him. Harris admitted to consuming alcohol. He failed field sobriety tests and was arrested. During booking, it was learned that Harris was driving with a suspended license, leading to the addition of that charge.
