BLOTTER: Police reports published Sept. 5

DWI:

Edward K. Washburn Jr. 33, 80 Genesee St. Apt. 1-4 was charged with driving while intoxicated, unlawful possession of marijuana and two equipment violations Tuesday. According to the report, Washburn was stopped for a traffic violation on South Transit Street. Washburn had red, glassy eyes and the odor of alcoholic beverage. He failed field sobriety tests and was found with two plastic bags containing marijuana.

LARCENY:

Lee D. Smith, 22, of Newfane was charged at 10:25 p.m. Monday by State Police with petit larceny and obstructing governmental administration following an investigation on South Transit Road.

Gasport

BURGLARY: A Ridge Road man reported that a Giant Mountain Bike, valued at $500 was stolen from his shed sometime Sunday or Monday. The shed was locked. The owner said he did not realize the bike was missing until he went to get something out of the shed Monday night.
