SOUTHPORT, NC — (Southport, NC) - It is with great sadness that the family of Robert Emil Eggenschiller announces his passing on at the age of 70.

Bob was a loving husband for 46 years to Patricia Scola Eggenschiller and beloved father to Michele Morris and Denise Victory, and sons-in-law, Ed and Woody, respectively. He was also a loving grandfather to Christian, Jacob, Madison, Bailie and Emma. He leaves behind a sister, Marean Abramson and her family; mother-in-law, Virginia Scola; sister-in-law, Donna McClary and husband, Andrew; and brother-in-law, Ronald Scola and his family.

“Father Bob” was the rector and compassionate shepherd of Christ Church, Lockport, NY, Church of the Advent, Kenmore, NY, and St. Peter’s Episcopal Church, Albany, NY. To know “Bob” was to enjoy his humor, respect his intelligence and leadership ability, and love him for the kind and generous person he was to everyone.

A Memorial Service to celebrate his love of life will be held at 2:00 PM, September 25, 2010 at St. Peter’s Church, Albany, NY. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Children’s Miracle Network, 205 West 700 South, Salt Lake City, UT 84101, or St. Jude’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105, in thanksgiving for his five beautiful grandchildren.
