Joyce E. Wiepert

LOCKPORT — Joyce E. Wiepert passed away December 10, 2012, at Odd Fellows and Rebekah Nursing Home.  Born July 17, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Clinton and Mabel (Conner) Griffin. She was predeceased by her late husband, Lloyd Wiepert.  Joyce worked for Quality Care nursing for 12 years as a home care aide. She loved gardening, traveling, reading and feeding the wildlife with her four legged companion, Mindy. Joyce was a lifelong member of St Peter's Lutheran Church in Cambria.

Joyce is survived by her daughter, Donna (late Richard) Bailey-Hillman. She was predeceased by her daughters, Mary (late Jody) Catalano and Terry (Ronald) Brosius. Grandmother of Jody, Jesse (Joanna), Carrie (Kevin), Kevin (Michelle), Amy, Tim and Kenneth (Luz). Great-grandmother of Joshua, Gabin, Claire, Baby Bailey, Kevin Jr., Carter, Camden, Austin, Trenton, Mason and Savannah. She was predeceased by her brother,  Norman (Ruth) Griffin. She was the sister-in-law of Louis (Ruth) Jr., late Gerald (Beverly), Harold (late Ellen), Carl and Merton (late Gloria) Wiepert, and Elizabeth Griffin.

Friends may call Thursday 11 AM to 2 PM in Prudden and Kandt Funeral Home, Inc., 242    Genesee Street, Lockport, where services will immediately follow at 2 PM. Memorials to Niagara Hospice, 4675 Sunset Drive, Lockport, NY 14094, would be appreciated by the family.
