BUFFALO —
Mr. Lawrence A. Worsley, of Knowlesville, passed away on Monday, December 3, 2012, at Buffalo General Hospital.
Mr. Worsley was born in Baltimore, MD, December 2, 1942, a son of the late Lawrence Edward and Lillian (McLasky) Worsley. He grew up in Brooklyn and moved to this area in 1980. He was employed by Ontario Containers, Jamestown Containers and Corson Manufacturing, where he was a die cutter. Larry was a Boy Scout, supporter of NORML, and an avid chess player who was known as "Checkmate". An exceptional hunter and fisherman, he loved the outdoors and made Camp Walleye which has provided many great memories for his family. His children remember him as the greatest father one could imagine.
He was the father, dad and best friend of Lawrence W. (Jeanette) Worsley and Tina Metzler; grandfather of Abigail Worsley and Jody Peoples; nephew of Thomas Klasky and has many cousins. He loved his Dalmatian, Lady.
Friends may call on Friday (1-3 & 5-7) at Cooper Funeral Home, 215 W. Center St., Medina, where his service will follow at 7 PM Friday evening. The Rev. Ray Noell, pastor of Knowlesville United Methodist Church, will officiate.
