LOCKPORT —
Andrea Lee Mullen was born in Lockport, NY, on April 9, 1947 to George R. Poole and Doris R. (Ott) Poole. She entered Heaven's gates on February 1, 2013, after a long illness.
A loving mother and grandmother, Andrea loved spending time in the kitchen sharing delicious family recipes with her children and grandchildren. Most of all she cherished the time spent with her family, whether it was a special occasion or a family visit, her contributions were always remembered. For many years she worked in the family business, Mullen Appliances and in most recent years, retired from Delphi in Lockport, NY.
Andrea was married to Charles R. Mullen, of Lockport, until 2000. Andy had been in a loving relationship with her partner, Richard C. Whitmore, of Newfane, for over 10 years.
She is survived by her children, Tabitha (Steven) Couturier, Geneva, IL, Raymond (Megan) Mullen, Noblesville, IN; and six beloved grandchildren. She is also survived by step-children, Charles (Anita) Mullen, Freehold, NJ, William (Belinda) Mullen, Lockport, NY, Linda (Donald) Lorentz, Orchard Park, NY, Joseph (Tracy) Mullen, Lockport, NY, and Michael (Cathy) Mullen, Houston, TX; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings, Jeanne Bremer of Zolfo Springs, FL, Alycia Kinney of Zolfo Springs, FL, Clyde Poole of Lockport, NY, George Poole of Amherst, NY, Kathy Poole of Benson, AZ. Andrea was predeceased by her parents, George and Doris; as well as siblings, Cindy (Poole) Kraule, Sharon (Poole) Stahl and grandson, Billy Mullen.
Funeral services will be held at Taylor & Reynolds Funeral Home, 70 Niagara Street, Lockport, NY 14094. Visitation will be Thursday, February 7th, from 4:00-8:00 PM and memorial service on Friday, February 8th, at 10:00 AM. Andrea will be laid to rest at Husky Cemetery in Lockport. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the American Lung Association in Andrea's name.
