Barbara Craft

YOUNGSTOWN —

Barbara (Wilcox) Craft, of Youngstown, formerly of Lockport and the Town of Lewiston, died on Wednesday, January 23, 2013 at her home surrounded by family, under the care of Niagara Hospice. She was 68. Born in Lockport on June 8, 1944, she was the daughter of the late Edward L. and Mary (Fitzgerald) Wilcox.
In her high school years, Barbara was a member of the marching band and also its drum majorette. A very active woman, she had many varied interests including boating, fishing, dancing coloring and traveling. She was known to write beautiful poetry and have one of the most generous and kindest hearts. Barbara was always eager to help family and friends in need, especially children, which she adored as well as her four legged feline friends.
Survivors include her children, Ronald (Penny) Craft of the Town of Niagara, Kevin (Tracy) Craft of Lockport, Kelly Metzinger of Lockport, Debra (Terry) Fruscione of Youngstown; grandchildren, John Patrick, Taylor, Dylan, Dillon, Rob, Jeremy, Don, Dustin, Spencer, Nicole and Mitchell, great grandbaby and one on the way; her former husband, Robert (Patricia) Craft and their family, Tim (Michelle) Craft and Children, Donovan and Vincent; several nieces and nephews; dear friends, Helen Sepe, Irene Morrissette, Jim Kendzie, Karen Banks and all the great folks at Youngstown Estates and the angels on the 5th floor at Roswell Park Cancer Institute. She was predeceased by her parents; son, Donald Craft and brother, George Wilcox.
Friends may call on Sunday from 4-7 PM in the LANE FUNERAL HOME, INC., 8622 Buffalo Avenue, where services will be held at 7 PM. Interment will be private in Acacia Park Cemetery, Pendleton. Memorials, if desired, may be made to Niagara Hospice, Inc., or to the Leukemia Center at Roswell Park.
