GASPORT —
Marian O'Donnell, (nee Isham), age 90, entered into rest on Wednesday, January 23, 2013, at Absolut in Gasport. Born March 7, 1922, in Gasport, Marian was the daughter of the late Harold and Hannah (nee Harrington) Isham.
Marian graduated from Gasport High School in 1939. She married Charles M. O'Donnell, Sr. August 26, 1939. Mr. O'Donnell died June 20, 1981. Marian was a former member of St. Mary's R.C. Church of Gasport, past president of the Roy-Hart PTA, an active member of the Gasport American Legion, and a Cub Scout leader. She also provided day care for pre-school children for several years. Marian was a volunteer at the Lockport Senior Citizens Center. She loved her family, traveling, camping, gardening, arts and crafts and casinos. Marian led a very active life and to know her was to love her. Marian had lived in Gasport for most of her life.
Surviving is her daughter, Sharon E. Rothwell. She was predeceased by a son, Charles Michael O'Donnell, Jr., who died August 10, 2006. Mother-in-law of the late William A. Rothwell. Grandmother of Mary Kay (Anthony) DeFranco, Shawn M. Rothwell, Kevin Rothwell and Brian (Susan) Rothwell; five great-grandchildren, Austin, Mackenzie and Tyler Rothwell, and Michael Anthony and Grace Cretney DeFranco. She was predeceased by a great-grandson, Jamie DeFranco. Marian is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to attend visitation at the Sherrie-Bream Funeral Home, 4521 Main Street, Gasport, on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, January 26, 2013, at 10:00 AM from St. John the Baptist R.C. Church, 168 Chestnut Street, Lockport, NY 14094.
