Marvin "Murphy" Wander, of Newfane, husband of the late Mary Ann Baulmer, entered into rest Wednesday, January 9, 2013, in his home. Marvin was born on June 24, 1933 in Buffalo, NY, son of the late William and Evelyn Daniels Wander.
Marvin retired from the Clarence school system in 1985. He served in the U.S. Army. Marvin was a past member/treasurer of the Clarence Lions Club. He was also a member of the Grace Bible Church in Newfane, NY.
Father of Susan Hummer of Newfane and Sharon Wander of Newfane. Brother of the late Richard Wander, William Wander and Marion Sherman. Grandfather of Doug Hummer, Jr., Melinda Hummer and Daniel Hummer.
Friends may call at the RUTLAND-CORWIN FUNERAL HOME, INC., 2670 Main St., Newfane, NY 14108, on FRIDAY 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Funeral services will be held at the Grace Bible Church, 6023 Dutton Place, Newfane, NY 14108, on SATURDAY at 10 AM. Burial will be held in the Holy Rest Cemetery, 1707 East Delevan Ave., Buffalo, NY, SATURDAY at 1 PM.
