Doris Jean Schneider

NIAGARA FALLS —

Doris Jean Schneider passed away unexpectedly on December 9, 2012 in Eastern Niagara Hospital, Lockport. Doris was born on July 23, 1931 in Dansville, NY. She was the daughter of Carl and Harriet (Amesbury) Lander.
Doris was a graduate of RIT and worked as a dietitian at the Mount View Health Care, retiring in 1993. In her retirement, Doris enjoyed working in her flower gardens, reading, cooking, but most of all she enjoyed being with her family. She was also a member of the United Methodist Church in Middleport.
Doris is also survived by her dear husband, Raymond J Schneider; loving mother of Carl (Nancy) of West Union, OH, and Keith R Schneider of St Petersburg FL; grandmother of Jourdan (Kyle) Morgan, Nicholas, Elisa, Dean, and Marci Schneider; sister of Dean H (Charlotte) Lander of Ohio, Lewis J (Frances) Lander of Leroy, NY, Betty (Bartley) Smith of Brookline, CT, and the late Joan M Lander. Also survived by several nieces and nephews; and her former daughter-in-law, Patricia "Pattie" Schneider.
Friends may call on Tuesday, December 11th from 2-4 and 7-9 PM in Prudden and Kandt Funeral Home, Inc., 242 Genesee Street, Lockport, where services will be held on Wednesday morning at 9:30 AM. Interment will be in Ridgeway Cemetery. Memorials to United Methodist Church, 5 Park Ave., Middleport, NY 14105.
