Donald P. Lane

NEWFANE —  

Donald P. Lane passed away on October 30, 2012 in Eastern Niagara Hospital, Newfane. Born on February 21, 1931, the son of Howard and Irene Lane. Donald was a Korean War veteran serving from 1953 to 1956, worked as a laborer for 30 years at Balling Construction in Tonawanda and was the Code Inspector for the Town of Cambria. He was also an active volunteer fireman for both the Cambria Volunteer and Wendelville Volunteer. Donald was an avid NY Yankees fan and avid bowler.
Donald is survived by his wife, Pearl (Lasky) Lane; father of Randolph (Betty) Lane and Jennifer (Lawrence) Schumacher; grandfather of Crystal (Robert) Jasinski, Joseph Lane, Jessica Schumacher, Cassandra Schumacher, Justin George, William George, and Trevor George; brother of the late Marjorie (John) Peckham; also several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends may call on Sunday, November 4th from 1-3 PM and 5-8 PM in Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, November 5th at 10:30 AM in Good Shepherd Roman Catholic Church, 5442 Tonawanda Creek Rd., Pendleton. Interment will be in Good Shepherd Cemetery. Donations to the Cambria Junior Firefighters would be appreciated.
