Phillip "Pip" Leavesley, of Appleton, husband of Linda Borner Leavesley, entered into rest Sunday, August 12, 2012 in Eastern Niagara Hospital, in Newfane.
Pip was born in Coventry, England on October 8, 1940. Son of the late Joseph and Rita Wyre Leavesley. Pip served in the British Merchant Navy for 4 years. He worked in England at the Jaguar Plant. Pip emigrated to Canada and worked on the Canadian Pacific Railroad as a dining car manager. He then emigrated to the U.S. and lived in Florida and moved to Olcott, NY. Pip worked at Phieffer Foods and then retired from Akzo Nobel in 2002. He enjoyed fishing, crossword puzzles, soccer and watching British comedies.
Father of Leif (Soosie) Leavesley of Lewiston, Christopher Durham of NYC, Lia (Randy) Leavesley of Newfane, Jennifer Durham of Lockport, and Lara (Ryan) MacFarlane of Lockport. Brother of Anthony (Margaret) Leavesley of Australia, Terrance Leavesley of England, and Jacqueline (Wayne) Baker of England. Grandfather of Brooklynn Czelusta and Nova Leavesley. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.
