Anthony Shucca Porter, Sr.

LOCKPORT — Anthony Shucca Porter, Sr., age 73, of Gasport, entered into rest on Saturday, March 2, 2013, at Niagara Hospice House in Lockport. Born June 7, 1939 in Tonawanda, NY, Tony was the son of the late Maria (Nubelo) Porter and Stefano Shucca.

Anthony graduated from Barker Central Schools. After graduation he entered the Marine Corp and served from 1958 until 1962. He had worked as a Niagara County Sheriff and then     Harrison Radiator. Tony was a member of the National Rifle Association. He enjoyed playing guitar, horseback riding, traveling, family, cooking, hunting, woodworking and picnicking.    He lived in this area all of his life.  

Anthony is survived by his children, Tony (Candy) Porter, Michael Porter and Jennifer (Eric) Bruning. Grandfather of Tonya Cassidy, Tony Porter III, Ashley Porter and Alana Bruning. Great- grandfather of Taylor Porter and Blayzz Cassidy.  Brother of Mary Dabella. Tony is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to attend visitation at the Kenneth H. Sherrie Funeral Home, 6139 East Avenue, Newfane on Tuesday, March 5, 2013 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 11 AM from the funeral home, with the Bryan Meahl officiating. Interment will be in Wrights Corners Cemetery. Memorials appreciated to Niagara Hospice Alliance, 4675    Sunset Drive, Lockport, NY 14094.
