Shirley Anson

LOCKPORT — Shirley Anson passed away February 1, 2013 in Niagara Hospice House. Born in Lockport on March 22, 1928, she was the daughter of Wilfred and Lenore (Hollenbeck) Gillings. Shirley was a cashier at Bells Super Market and a cook at several clubs and restaurants. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church where she was a member of the Altar & Rosary, and also belonged to the B. Leo Dolan Post 410 Ladies Auxiliary. Shirley was predeceased by her husbands, Harold Parker in 1964, and Roland Anson in 2012.

Shirley is survived by her son, Harold E. (Billie Lynn) Parker of Lockport; step-mother of  Kevin (Ruby) Anson, Douglas Anson, Brenda Fitzgerald, Sharon (Ronald) Grottanelli, Barbara Neese and the late Paul Anson; sister of Jean (Paul) Mayer, Sr., Dorothy (Emory) Haines, Geraldine (Leon) LaSage, Wilfred (Carol) Gillings, Robert (Mary) Gillings, Sr., and the late John Gillings and Winifred Gillings; also survived by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, step-grandchildren, step-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends may call Tuesday, February 5th, 11-1 PM in Prudden & Kandt         Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport, where funeral services will immediately follow at 1 PM.
