Paul William Powers

LOCKPORT —

Paul William Powers, 82, passed away peacefully on January 29, 2013 in Lockport Hospital. He was born on March 25, 1930 Peterborough, ON, Canada. He married Orleen R. Schoettle on September 25, 1952. She preceded him in death on September 10, 2000. Paul touched the hearts of many in his life and in turn many loved him. He never let distance separate him from the people he loved and cared for.
He is survived by his children, Paul (Debra) Powers, Don (Kathy) Powers, Ken (Marie) Powers and Janice Warman; grandchildren, Sheilah, Ryan, Tyler, Lorie, Melissa, Megan, Stephanie, Kaitlyn and Brandon; sister, Mary (Don) Forrest; brothers, Bill Powers, Rick (Maureen) Powers and Steve Powers; many nieces and nephews; sisters-in-law, Donna Rome and Noreen Crimmins; and his devoted and loving friend, Brid. Paul was preceded in death by his brothers, Larry Powers, Bernard Powers, Bob Powers, Chuck Powers; and his beloved parents, James and Ethel (Netter) Powers.
Mass of Resurrection will be held at 10 AM on Monday, February 4, 2013 in St. Mary Catholic Church. Rev. Stephen Reckker of St. Clement of Rome Parish will officiate. Burial will follow in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Port Huron. Visiting will be from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM on Sunday in the Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home and from 9:30 AM on Monday at church.
