Claire Piette

LOCKPORT — Claire Piette passed away January 10, 2013 in Briody Health Care Facility. Born in Macamic, Quebec, Canada on August 15, 1922, she was the daughter of Arthur and Bernadette (Roy) Bolduc.  Claire was a member of the Dale Association, the Mother's Club, and St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church where she belonged to the Altar & Rosary Society. She enjoyed reading, gardening, knitting, playing board games and cards, and especially enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  Claire was very proud of her Quebec origins and embraced them. She was predeceased by her husband, Leopold Piette, on May 15, 1971.

Claire is survived by her nine children, Lucette (Frank) Kydd, Carmelle (Joseph) Blarr, Jacques L. (Betsey) Piette, Marc (Brenda) Piette, John (Terri) Piette, Bernadette (Evan) Geller, Denise (Kevin) Feeley, Michael (Dawn) Piette and Tony (June) Piette; grandmother of 24 and great-grandmother of 20.

Relatives and friends may call Saturday, Jan. 12th, from 4-8 PM and Sunday, Jan. 13th, from   2-6 PM in Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, Jan. 14th, at 10 AM in St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, 168 Chestnut St., Lockport. Interment will be in Cold Spring Cemetery. Donations to the American Cancer Society would be appreciated.
