Mary Elizabeth (Donner) Payne

GETZVILLE — Mary Elizabeth (Donner) Payne, age 101, mother and homemaker, passed away, peacefully, on Monday, January 7, 2013, at the Weinberg Campus, Getzville, NY. Mary was blessed with a long and healthy life, filled with love, happiness and good will for all of her family and friends. She was born December 28, 1911, daughter of Benjamin and Anna (Art) Donner and lived on Meyer Road in Pendleton for most of her life. Mary was predeceased by her husband of 40 years, Leslie Payne, in October of 1977, and after his death she moved to Daytona Beach, FL to live with her sister.  Mary was a devout Catholic and had been a     member of Good Shepherd Church in Pendleton her entire life.  She was an active member and officer of the Christian Mothers Association of Good Shepherd Church.

Mary is survived by her two children, Nancy Ann (late Frederick) Mangold and Richard Leslie (Candace) Payne; grandmother of Cheryl (Jerry) Struzik, Mark (Suzanne) Mangold, Deanne (Donald) Schwartz, Marianne (Joseph) De Deo, Beth (Robert) Makin, Julianne (Dr. George) Pancio, Dale (Teresa) Payne, Darlene (John) Jeremic and Diane (Paul) White.  She is also survived by 24 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings, Caroline Utnehmer, Rita Fritton, Cecelia Dumphrey, Genevieve Hebeler and Benjamin A. Donner.

Relatives and friends may call Friday, January 11th, 3-7 PM in Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, January 12th,  at 10 AM in Good Shepherd Church. Interment will be in Good Shepherd Cemetery.
