Patricia L. Burns

LOCKPORT —  

Patricia L. Burns passed away on Saturday, December 29, 2012 in Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital. Born in Lockport, on October 13, 1954, she was the daughter of the late Eugene and Mildred Goodenough Burns.
Pat was a Physical Education teacher for Orleans/Niagara BOCES for over 30 years, retiring in 2009. She was a Board Member of the Errick Road Latchkey, Inc. for 25 years. Pat was very active with Special Olympics, coaching at both the state and international level for the past 30 years. She was also the Sports Director for Niagara/Orleans Special Olympics. Pat was also a avid Buffalo Bills fan.
She is survived by her siblings, Paulette Cochrane, Howard Burns and the late Gary Burns. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Pat is also survived by her dear friends, Roseanne Brogan and Family, Jan and Mark Voelker, Gary Cochrane, Kathi and Ed Fiakowski.
Friends may call on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM in Prudden and Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee Street, Lockport, where services will be held on Thursday afternoon at 12:30 PM. Interment will be in Cold Springs Cemetery. Memorials to the Special Olympics, c/o Coach John Huber, 5154 Hellert Road, Medina, NY 14103, would be appreciated by the family.
