NORTH TONAWANDA —
Stella J. Fligger passed away July 30, 2012 in DeGraff Skilled Nursing Facility. Born in Southwest, PA on February 12, 1920, she was the daughter of John and Agnes (Potonic) Baradziej. Stella worked for Harrison Radiator for 20 years in production. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church. Stella was predeceased by her husband, Miles Fligger; son, Jeffrey Fligger and grandson, Kevin Proud.
Stella is survived by her daughter, Carole (John) Proud of Cortland, NY; mother-in-law of Karen Fligger of Lockport; grandmother of Kristin (William) Proud, Michael (Pamela) Proud, Kristen Hill and Brian Fligger; great-grandmother of Mary Hill; sister of Mary Knouse of PA and the late Joseph, Steven Baradziej and Pauline Genard; also several nieces and nephews.
There will be no prior visitation. Relatives and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated Friday, August 3rd, at 11 AM in St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, 168 Chestnut St., Lockport. Interment will be in Acacia Park Cemetery. Donations to DeGraff Skilled Nursing Facility, 445 Tremont St., North Tonawanda, NY 14120; or to St. Margaret's Center for Disability Services, 314 South Manning Boulevard, Albany, NY 12208, would be appreciated by the family.
