GAINESVILLE, FL —
Robert E. "Bob" Thorsby, of Ridgeway, NY, husband of Linda Siwula Thorsby, entered into rest on Monday, February 25, 2013 in Gainesville, FL. He was born in Lockport, NY, on June 22, 1937, the son of the late Donald and Antoinette Galardi Thorsby. He served his country in the US Navy from 1956-1962. Bob married Linda on April 28, 1979. He was a truck driver for George H. Golding Trucking in Lockport for 55 years, retiring in 2012. Bob enjoyed motorcycles and was a member of the Harley Davidson Owners Club. He also enjoyed camping and traveling. He moved to Ridgeway, NY in 2006, coming from Holley, NY.
Father of Margaret Ann (Doug) Travis of Olean, NY, Tammy Sue (Craig) Querns of Olean, NY, and Krystal L. (Jason Spearin) Thorsby of Ridgeway, NY. Grandpa Bob to Gary, Robert, Anthony, Thomas, Steven, Alex, Lauren and Jordan. Great-Grandpa Bob to Dominick, Zachery, Toni Leigh, Scott and Elianna. Brother of Neil (Libby) Thorsby of Steinlatchee, FL, Mary Roath of Houghton, NY, and the late Richard Thorsby.
Friends may call at the RUTLAND-CORWIN FUNERAL HOME, INC., 2670 Main St., Newfane, NY, on SATURDAY from 1-5 PM, where funeral services will be held at 5 PM. Memorials to a charity of one's choice would be appreciated by the family.
