Regina L. Heffler

SANBORN —

Regina L. Heffler, of Sanborn, NY, passed away on Saturday, February 23, 2013, in Buffalo General Hospital. She was born in Lackawanna, NY, a Father Baker girl, on December 31, 1925 of the late Helen G. Kolivosky. Mrs. Heffler moved to Niagara Falls in 1942 and later to Sanborn in 1957 and was a cook and waitress at the Georgian House of Pancakes, the Marlboro Inn and Stockade restaurant for many years.
Regina most loved four things in life: her faith, her family, cooking for others, and gardening.  Always ready with a smile, she was known for her wit and humor.  In her final days she continued to bring humor  and love to her family and friends. It was no surprise that her favorite comedian was Lucille Ball. She demanded little from life and understood that her true purpose was to give to others. She will be missed by many for years to come.
Mrs. Heffler was the former wife of the late Richard H. Heffler; and grandmother of the late Christopher S. Heffler. Mrs. Heffler is survived by four sons, Richard D. (Karen) Heffler of Sanborn, James L. (Donna) Heffler of Mukwonago, WI, David G. (Diane) Heffler of Williamsville, NY and Raymond A. (Sandy Casey) Heffler of Robinston, ME; nine grandchildren, Eric (Stephanie), Melissa, Jennifer, Michael (Diana), Kevin (Kimberly), Andrea, Rae Ann (Bill), Heather and Candace; twelve great-grandchildren, Matthew, Brittany, Nicholas, Lucas, Adam, Sean, Matthew Heffler, Brittany Heffler, Hanna Buck, Jessica, Kelsey and Eliana; and four great-great-grandchildren.
The family will be present on  Monday from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM at the RHONEY  FUNERAL HOME, 5893 Hoover Road, SANBORN, NY, where funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 AM, followed by a  Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 AM at Immaculate Conception Church, 4671 Townline Road, Ransomville, NY, with the Rev. Julio Ciavaglia officiating. Memorials may be made in her name to the Fatima Shrine. Interment at Niagara Falls Memorial Park,  Lewiston, NY.
