Thomas J. Marsteller

LOCKPORT — Thomas J. Marsteller passed away October 13, 2012 in Niagara Hospice House. Born March 15, 1930 in Youngstown, OH, he was the son of William and Ruth (Thomas) Marsteller. Thomas served in the US Army from 1951 to 1953 during the Korean War, earning the Good Conduct Medal and earned his bachelor's degree from Youngstown State University. He worked for 21 years at the Niagara Frontier Transportation Authority where he was the Assistant Comptroller, retiring in 1991. Thomas was an active member of the Hartland United Methodist Church and also the VFW in Gasport. He was predeceased by his wife, Gertrude L. (Umholtz) Marsteller on April 10, 2011.

Thomas is survived by his son, Thomas Nelson (Brenda) Marsteller of Gasport, and also by his three brothers, Jack (Margaret) Marsteller of Austintown; Frank (Yolanda) Marsteller of Las     Vegas, NV; and Ralph Marsteller of Boardman, OH.

There will be no prior visitation. Relatives and friends are invited to a memorial service on Wednesday, October 17th, at 11 AM in Hartland United Methodist Church, 8019 Ridge Rd.,      Gasport. Memorials to Niagara Hospice, 4675 Sunset Drive, Lockport, NY 14094, would be   appreciated by the family.
