Edward J. D'Anna

ROCHESTER — Edward J. D'Anna, age 71, passed away, peacefully, on Wednesday, April 4, 2012 at Highlands at Brighton in Rochester, NY. Ed was born in Niagara Falls, NY, on July 5, 1940 to the late Katherine (Serio) and Joseph E. D'Anna.

He was a graduate of Lockport Senior High School and advanced his education with a Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Buffalo. He attended Case Western Reserve in Cleveland, OH, where he graduated with a Masters Degree in Library Science. He then moved to Atlanta, GA, where he was offered a position in the Medical School Library. After a few years, he moved to Grand Forks, ND, where he served as Director of the Medical Library at the University of North Dakota. Finally, Ed moved back east to retire and enjoyed living in Lima, NY. It was there that he enjoyed home tutoring special needs children.

Ed is survived by his sister, Louise (D'Anna) Geracci of Las Vegas, NV; and two nephews, James and Gary Geracci and many loving cousins. We will miss his sense of humor and even during his long illness he always had a love and concern for all of his family.
