Helen Grace Whitlock

GREENVILLE, SC — Helen Grace Whitlock, 91, widow of Norris Whitlock, died Sunday, November 4, 2012.

Born in Pittsburgh, PA, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Florence Matilda White     Arensberg.

Mrs. Whitlock was retired as a Floral Designer.

Surviving are a daughter, Susan Barrineau and husband, Gene of Charleston, SC; two sons, Dr. Norris "Chip" Whitlock and wife, Sandra of Greer, SC; and Gary H. Whitlock and wife, Mary of Elgin, SC; six grandchildren, Stephanie Whitlock Diamond, Andy Whitlock, Ricky Barrineau, Robbie Barrineau, Sarah Whitlock Lucas and Emily Whitlock Lindsay; and 12 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Walter "Buzz" Arensberg and a grandson, Brad Whitlock.

A memorial service will be held Thursday, November 8, 2012, at 11:00 AM in Markley Chapel of Christ Church Episcopal. Burial will be held at a later date in Mt. Pleasant Memorial Gardens.    Memorials may be made to Meals on Wheels, 15 Oregon Street, Greenville, SC 29605; or Alzheimer's Association, Upstate SC Chapter, 301 University Ridge, Suite 5000, Greenville, SC 29601.
