Doris Ramming Nagel

MEDINA — Doris Ramming Nagel, age 94, of Rush, NY,  formerly of Gasport and Medina, entered into rest on Wednesday, January 29, 2013, at The Bridges of Mendon. Born September 9, 1918 in Hume, NY, Doris was the daughter of the late Ellis L. and Florence M. (Overholt) Washbon.

Doris was the wife of the late Howard H. Ramming and the late Mortimer Nagel. She had worked at Bells IGA in Lockport for many years.  Doris was a member of Terry's Corner's Ladies Auxiliary and had attended the United Methodist Church in Medina.  She enjoyed quilting, painting, flowers and music, having played the organ for many years at local churches and singing with her daughters. Doris was a people person, everyone loved her. She also was an animal lover.  

Surviving are her daughters, Gail L. Walker of Rush, NY and Lynn D. (David) Lang of Gasport, NY. Sister of the late Lois R. Tiefel, Norman E. Washbon and Lawrence E. Washbon. Six grandchildren, four step-grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, 12 step-great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren also survive her.

Family and friends are invited to attend visitation at the Sherrie-Bream Funeral Home, 4521 Main Street, Gasport, on Saturday, February 2, 2013, from 11 AM until 12 Noon. Funeral services will be held immediately following at 12:00 PM, with the Reverend Ronald Linton officiating. Interment will be in Hartland Central Cemetery, Gasport, NY. In lieu of flowers, memorials appreciated to the National MS Society, P.O. Box 4527, New York, NY  10163.
