Carol E. Taylor, of Lockport, NY, wife of William D. Taylor, entered into rest on Wednesday, July 4, 2012, at Niagara Hospice House. She was born in Newfane, NY, on April 10, 1939, the daughter of the late Clarence A. Miller and Eloise E. Wheaton Miller Drury. She married William D. Taylor on January 21, 1960.
Carol was the Housekeeping Supervisor for Holiday Inn in Amherst, NY, for several years. She enjoyed traveling with country western music and "Ramblin Lou.". Carol enjoyed crocheting, gardening and trips to the casino.
Mother of Gary Cook of Lockport, Karen (Fred) Trombley of Lockport, Marjorie (William) Pipiles of Newfane, Randy (Elaine) Taylor of North Tonawanda, Dusty (Amanda) Taylor of Buffalo and the late Stephan M. Cook. Sister of Richard (Debby) Miller of Lockport, Gerald (Ann) Miller of Middleport, Suzanne (Jack) Fessard and Andrea (Kevin) Berhalter, all of Lockport. Dear friend of Melinda Taylor of Kenmore. Also survived by nine grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the RUTLAND-CORWIN FUNERAL HOME, INC., 2670 Main St., Newfane, NY, on FRIDAY from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM, where funeral services will be held on SATURDAY at 11:00 AM.
