Michael D. Poyfair

FALL RIVER, MA — Michael David Poyfair, of Lawndale, NC (formerly of Newfane, NY), passed away on July 24, 2012 in Fall River, MA, after a short illness. He and his wife, Dawn (Miranda) and their          13-month old son, Thomas, were visiting Dawn's family and exploring the possibility of relocating there before Thomas starts school.

Michael, son of the late Earl and Blanche House Poyfair, was a graduate of Wilson Central School, NCCC and the University of Buffalo. He worked in the Social Services field, most recently with Mental Health Crisis Management. Michael lived and worked for several years in Florida where he married Dawn in 2000. They moved to North Carolina in 2002, where Thomas was born in 2011.

In addition to his wife, Dawn, and his son, Thomas, Michael is survived by sisters, Karen Olsen, Penny Maki, Jeanne Poyfair, Denise (James) Gugliuzza, Paula Poyfair and brothers, Earl       Poyfair, Richard (Lucy) Poyfair and Russell Poyfair, and is brother-in-law to Linda (Fred)     Murphy, Stephen (Renee) Miranda, Natalie (Stephen) Cloutier, Michael (Linda) Miranda, David Miranda and several nieces and nephews.

Michael was an organ donor and will be remembered as a kind and caring family man in life, and a life-saver to many after his all-too-soon passing. Funeral arrangements are by Au Claire Funeral Home of Fall River, MA. There will be no prior visitation.
