Richard George Lewis

NORTH TONAWANDA — Richard (Dick) grew up in North Tonawanda, where he learned the restaurant trade from his  parents. He is best known in the Williamsville/Amherst area for opening and owning several restaurants, starting with Adam's Rib and moving on to Friars Table, Daffodils, Dandelions and Bee Line Diner. In his later years in life, he worked at the Wherle Golf Dome and spent winters in Myrtle Beach. Known to his many friends as an all around great guy. His children have dubbed him "Best Dad Ever" His lifetime of love and dedication to his family will never be forgotten.

Son of the late Lola and Abraham Lewis. Richard is survived by his dear partner, Nancy Gailor. Beloved father to Richard, Jr., Jay, Roberta, Rhonda (Silver) and Taryn. Loving Papa of Max and Sam Silver; and his beloved dog, Teddy.

The family will be present on Thursday from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the (Amherst Chapel) AMIGONE FUNERAL HOME, INC., 5200 Sheridan Drive (Corner of Hopkins Rd.), where Funeral Services will be held on Friday at 10:00 AM. Friends invited. Flowers are gratefully declined. If desired, memorials may be made to "Save-A-Pet, Inc.", PO Box 114, Newfane, NY 14108.
