Joseph V. Kulbacki of Colden, NY, went to Heaven after fighting a lengthy illness. Born in Ridgway, PA , son of the late Joseph C. and Amerika (Piccirillo) Kulbacki.
Joe graduated in 1956 from Youngsville High, Youngsville, PA, where he excelled in sports. He was awarded a football scholarship to Purdue University where he graduated from in 1960 with an advanced degree. Also in 1960, he was drafted by the Buffalo Bills as a running back, wearing # 43. He proudly served his country in the United States Army as a Second Lieutenant. Joe was an author, (America...A Nation Thats Lost It's Way) an owner of South Hill Farms, growing blueberries and Christmas trees, a vinter, and an entrepreneur, lastly owning Automation Integrators, Inc.
Joe is survived by his wife, Judi (Spoth) Kulbacki, of Colden, NY; son, Tom Kulbacki; daughter, Chris (Jeff) DeVoss; daughter-in-law, Stephanie (Dave) Welton, all of Colorado; sons, Donald (Angela) Kaufman of Maryland, Kevin Kaufman of Orchard Park; grandchildren, Molly, Scott, Nick, Bo, Jill; brother, Ron (Pattie) Kulbacki of Connecticut; niece, Mary Francis (Paul) Blackman of Connecticut; and great-nephew, Hunter. Joe was predeceased by his sons, Joey and Rob.
Calling hours will be on Saturday and Sunday from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM at JAMES W. CANNAN FUNERAL HOME, INC., 3155 Orchard Park Rd., Orchard Park, NY 14127. A celebration of Joe's life will be held on Monday at 11:00 AM at The Tabernacle, 3210 Southwestern Blvd., Orchard Park, NY 14127. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given in memory of Joe to The Tabernacle or Roswell Park Institute.
