BUFFALO —
Kenneth J. Seib, age 94, of Lockport, entered into rest February 19, 2012 in Buffalo General Hospital. Born March 15, 1917, at home in Buffalo, he was the son of the late Adam and Genevieve Seib. Ken was predeceased by his wife of 70 years, Ruby (Heinz) Seib on May 18, 2011. He worked at Simonds Saw & Steel where he retired from after 35 years. Ken also worked on the family fruit and vegetable farm in Ridgewood for over 50 years. He had been a longtime member of the Ridgewood Union Church. Ken was very active in the Red Jacket Lodge, Masons and the Shriners, where he marched in the Shriners band, and also paraded with the Shriners motor corps with his motor scooter. Ken loved playing the organ at his lodge and at home.
Ken is survived by his sons, Paul (Darlene) Seib and John (Liz) Seib, both of Lockport; grandfather of Douglas (Lorna) Seib, Steven (Janet) Seib, Scott (Erica) Seib, Kimberly (Michael) Polarski, Michael (Jennifer) Seib and Matthew (Jennifer) Seib, all of Lockport; 14 great-grandchildren; brother of the late Carl Seib.
Relatives and friends may call Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 PM in Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport, where funeral services will be held Friday at 11 AM. Interment will be in Wrights Corners Cemetery.
