Helen W. Nagel of Newfane, wife of the late Robert Nagel, entered into rest on Thursday, January 17, 2013 in Eastern Niagara Hospital Lockport, NY. Helen was born in Newfane, NY on January 16, 1923. Daughter of the late Howard and Mertie Ashton Dence.
Helen worked as Deputy Town Clerk in Newfane. She was a member of the Newfane United Methodist Church and the Newfane VFW Auxiliary.
Mother of Doug (Barbara) Nagel of Lockport, NY and Barry (Nancy) Nagel of Springwater, NY. Grandmother of David and Tyler Nagel, Betsy (Robb) Delisanti, Jared, Catherine and Jordan Nagel. Great-grandmother of Lia and Matthew Delisanti. Aunt of Eleanor Miles of Newfane, NY, Robert (Sheila) Capen of Newfane, NY, Shirley Capen of Buffalo, NY and the late Virginia Watson. Sister-in-law of William (Penny) Koehn of Lockport. Special friend of Carol Ferris of Lockport.
Friends may call at the RUTLAND-CORWIN FUNERAL HOME, INC., 2670 Main St., Newfane, NY 14108 on SUNDAY at 2-6 PM. A funeral service will be held at Newfane United Methodist Church on MONDAY at 11 AM. Burial will be held in Corwin Cemetery following funeral service.
