Edward Sliker

LOCKPORT — Edward Sliker entered into rest July 3, 2012, under the care of Niagara Hospice, surrounded by family and friends. Born January 7, 1932, he was the son of Edward and Helen (Alma) Sliker.

Ed worked for the City of Lockport Streets Department for many years and was a member of the Moose and the Redman Clubs.

Ed loved fishing, bingo, the casino, playing cards and going to Wesley House every night. He enjoyed his family and friends.

Dear brother of Shirlie Knight; uncle of Shannon McElmurry, Sean Murphy, Paige Gaskin and the late Colin Murphy. Beloved father figure of Bonnie and Kenneth Zimmerman. Cherished grandfather figure of Kevin, Nicholas, Christopher Zimmerman and Butch (Kari) Goff. Dear friend of Roger and Douglas   Mottorn, Patty Mahar, Wasley Pratt and Kathy Paluszak. Also survived by many other friends.

Relatives and friends may call on Saturday from 12-2:00 PM, at the Taylor & Reynolds Funeral Home, corner of Transit and Niagara Streets, where the funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
