COLUMBUS, OH —
Jean Lingham Wakeman, 71, of Leland, NC, peacefully passed away on Thursday, March 15, 2012, at Kobacker House, Columbus, OH. She was born on June 6, 1940 in Ayer, MA, to the late Philip Marston Lingham and Dorothy (Hodgson) Lingham.
Jean was a graduate of Mt. Lebanon High School, Mt. Lebanon, PA and received an Associate in Business from Mount Union College, Alliance, OH, where she was active in the Alpha Delta Phi Sorority. She was a member of Emmanuel United Methodist Church, Lockport, NY.
Jean is survived by Ross, her loving husband of fifty years; two sons, David (Deanna) Wakeman, Columbus, OH and Stephen (Nancy) Wakeman, Arlington, VA; three grandchildren, Sarah, Nicolas and Andrew Wakeman; and brother, Richard Lingham, Jefferson, OH.
A memorial service will be held on May 5, 2012, at Emmanuel United Methodist Church, 75 East Ave., Lockport, NY, at 3:30 PM with burial following at Cold Spring Cemetery. Memorial gifts may be made to Kobacker House/OhioHealth Foundation and sent to the OhioHealth Foundation at 180 E. Broad St., Columbus, OH 43215-3707.
