LOCKPORT —
Calvin "Red" Miller, of Lockport, NY, husband of Maureen Smith Miller, entered into rest on Thursday, February 2, 2012 in Niagara Hospice House. He was born in Summerhill, PA, on June 16, 1939, the son of the late Walter and Martha Renerger Miller.
He was a veteran of the US Army, serving his country from 1963-1965 in Germany. Red married Maureen Smith on June 16, 1979. He worked in production at Harrison Radiator for 32 1/2 years, retiring April 1, 1997. He moved to Lockport in 1966 from Pennsylvania. Member of Lockport Elks Club and past Social Member of Wrights Corners Fire Company.
Brother of William Miller of Cleveland, OH, Richard (Dorothy) Miller of Eden, NY, Paul D. Miller of Lockport, NY, and the late Raymond Miller. Brother-in-law of Carol Hickman of Humansville, MO. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the RUTLAND-CORWIN FUNERAL HOME, INC., 2670 Main St., Newfane, NY, on MONDAY from 3-6 PM, where funeral services will be held on TUESDAY at 11:00 AM. Burial will be in Wrights Corners Cemetery, Newfane, NY. Memorials to Niagara Hospice, Inc., 4675 Sunset Dr., Lockport, NY 14094 would be appreciated by the family.
