David R. Korff

LOCKPORT —  

David R. Korff passed away on Friday, December 7, 2012 in Niagara Hospice House. David was born on April 20, 1927 in Lockport, the son of Raymond and Nina (Lester) Korff.
He retired as Vice President of his family business, Korff Electric in 1989 after 42 years. David served in the Army Air Corps during W.W. II with the 12th Fighter Sq. 18th Fighter Group which got him into collecting information and photos of that era of war planes. David was a 65-year member of the I.O.O.F. His hobbies were rock tumbling, flying, bowling with the City and Church Leagues, loved golf and enjoyed traveling with his wife, Helen.
David was the husband of 63 years of Helen F. (Walker) Korff; brother of Ralph (Geraldine) Korff and the late Robert Korff; uncle of Jane (Ted) Vaslet, Helen (Jeff) Boots and Timothy (the late Lisa) Walker; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews and one great-great-niece. He is also survived by his brother in-law, Samuel J. Walker.
Relatives and friends may call on Tuesday, December 11th from 4-8 PM in Prudden and Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee Street, Lockport, where funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 12th at 1 PM. Interment will be in Glenwood Cemetery. Memorials to the Alzheimer's Association, WNY Chapter, 2805 Wehrle Drive, Suite 6, Williamsville, NY 14221, would be appreciated by the family.
