James C. Cain

BUFFALO — James C. Cain, of Lockport, NY, passed away on Monday, January 28, 2013 in Buffalo General Hospital. Born on May 19, 1931, in Lockport, he was the son of George and Florence Tinker Cain. He served in the U.S. Army from 1948 until 1952 and retired from Harrison Radiator in 1986. Jim was a member of the Elks, the American Legion and a life member of the VFW. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and liked all sports.

Surviving is his life partner, Lynda Blake; two children, Laurie (John) Sidebottom of Lockport and Michael Cain of Middleport; three step-children, Karen Baker of IN, Shari (Donald) Tomczak of Lockport, and Stephen (Stacey) Blake of FL; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a brother, Edward (Marilyn) Cain; two sisters, Helen (late Rex) Wright and Elizabeth (late Mark) Tucker and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by a sister, Edith Markle and a brother, Patrick Cain.

Friends may call on Thursday 2:00-5:00 PM at LANGE FUNERAL HOME, INC., 186 East Ave., Lockport, where a memorial service will follow at 5:00 PM. Memorials may be made to the American Kidney Foundation and Juvenile Diabetes Association.
