Mark H. Mittelstaedt

LOCKPORT — Mark H. Mittelstaedt, of Lockport, passed away unexpectedly on his 61st birthday, January 15, 2013. Mr. Mittelstaedt was born in North Tonawanda on January 15, 1952, son of the late Harold and Virginia (nee Case) Mittelstaedt.

Mark graduated from Trott Vocational School in Niagara Falls and had a two-year degree in diesel mechanics from Alfred Tech. Mr. Mittelstaedt retired from Dole Ford after 28 years as an auto technician. He was a life-member of the Adams Fire Company and a lifelong member of St. Martin Lutheran Church. Mark was an avid hunter and enjoyed bowling.

Beloved husband of Gail (nee Ganshaw) Mittelstaedt; loving father of Suzanne (Steven) Powell; step-father of Kevin (Tracy) Cobb, Alan (Becky) Cobb and John Cobb; brother of Janice ( Brian) Romeiser; grandfather of Savannah and Shyanne Powell; step-grandfather of Krista Cobb; uncle of Jamie and Kate Romeiser.

Friends may call on FRIDAY from 3:30-7:30 PM at the WATTENGEL Funeral Home, 307 Oliver St., North Tonawanda. Funeral Services will be held on SATURDAY at 10:00 AM from St. Martin Lutheran Church, 322 Old Falls Blvd., North Tonawanda, NY, with Rev. R. Devie Ellis officiating. Interment will be in White Chapel Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to St. Martin or to the American Heart Association.
