Jeffrey Edward Durham, of Newfane, NY, went to be with Jesus on April 22, 2012, at his home in Newfane, NY, surrounded by those who love him the most. He was born in Clifton Fine, NY on March 7, 1954, son of the late John and Ruth Durham. He married his devoted wife, Janet Jerome, on July 16, 1977, and their marriage was a testimony of true love and commitment to all who knew them.
Beloved father to son Jeffrey of Carlisle, PA; son, Jeremiah and Stephanie Durham of Conesville, OH; and grandfather to their children, Boaz, Caleb and Eden; daughter, Johanna and Jay Fessenden of Carlisle, PA; and son, Joshua and Alysia Durham of Clarksville, TN.
Jeff faithfully served God's people as an ordained American Baptist Pastor for 33 years, and also worked for his family as a bus driver and substitute teacher. Jeff loved his family, his friends, his flock and never met a stranger. He enjoyed spending time with his family, riding motorcycles, music, playing games, collecting tins, camping, canoing and buffets.
He is survived by brothers, Jerry (Sara) Durham of Oswegatchie, NY, John (Kay) Durham of Star Lake, NY; and twin sister, Judy (Mark) Widrick of Adams Center, NY.
Friends may call on the family at Living Waters Community Church, Newfane, NY, 2569 Main Street, WEDNESDAY, April 25, 2012, from 3:00-9:00 PM. A service of celebration will be held on THURSDAY, April 26, 2012, at Living Waters Community Church at 1:00 PM. A committal service will follow on FRIDAY, April 27, 2012, at Oswegatchie Cemetery, Oswegatchie, NY, at 1:00 PM. Memorials to www.cadasilfoundation.org would be appreciated by the family.
