John H. "Jack" Thurston

LOCKPORT — John H. "Jack" Thurston, formerly Mr. Fix-it of Lockport, passed away after a long illness on April 3, 2012. He was the husband of Marilyn Thurston of Medina. The loving father of Cynthia A. (Wayne) Culverwell, John J. Thurston and David A. (Lori) Thurston.  Brother of David R. Thurston, Ronald G. (Susan) Thurston, William (Ilene) Thurston and Wendy S. (Bill) D'Amico.  Survived by six grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his father, Ralph Thurston and mother, Edith (Coates) Thurston. Also predeceased by his first wife, Rosemary A. Thurston.

Jack was self-employed as a carpenter for 30 years. He was an avid bowler and a lifetime      member of the Knights of Columbus.

He has donated his body to the University of Buffalo Anatomical Gifts Program. The family will hold a private gathering in memory of their loved one.
