Arlene M. Goerss

TOWN OF WHEATFIELD —  

Arlene M. Goerss, of the Town of Wheatfield, NY, passed away on Monday, March 18, 2013, in Mt. St. Mary's Hospital, Lewiston, NY. She  was born in North Tonawanda, NY, on July 18, 1935, the daughter of the late Carl and Margaret (Ingwersen) Goerss.
Miss Goerss was a lifelong resident of the Town of Wheatfield. She had resided at Crestwood Health Care Center for the past several years, were she served as President of the Resident Council and volunteered for all types of events that took place there.
Miss Goerss is survived by her sister-in-law, Pearl Goerss; a niece, Susie (Charly) Kinne; three nephews, Stephen (Diane) Goerss, Scott (Kimberly) Goerss and Arnold Goerss, Jr.; also several great nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Arnold C. Goerss.
Private funeral services will be held at the wishes of her family. Memorials may be made in her name to St. Paul Lutheran Church, 453 Old Falls Blvd., North Tonawanda, NY  14120. Interment in North Ridge Cemetery, Town of Cambria, NY. Arrangements by the RHONEY FUNERAL HOME, Sanborn, NY.
