Lockport Union-Sun & Journal — HARTLAND — A Drum Road man was remanded to Niagara County Jail on $50,000 bail after 341 marijuana plants were found on his property Wednesday.
Paul F. Guzock, 55, 2322 Drum Road was charged with first-degree criminal possession of marijuana, a Class C felony; fourth-degree criminal possession of a firearm, a Class A misdemeanor; and unlawfully growing marijuana, a misdemeanor under the public health law.
The arrest followed a joint investigation by the Niagara County Drug Task Force and Customs and Border Protection, according to Sheriff James R. Voutour.
The search warrant was issued by the Town of Hartland Court and was executed at 8 a.m. at the Drum Road location by the Emergency Response Team. The Task Force found 62 plants inside the residence and the rest outside.
The Task Force also found several loaded firearms, including an AR-15 Rifle, a shotgun and a handgun. The AR-15 is a lightweight, magazine-fed, semi-automatic rifle.
