Lockport Union-Sun & Journal — Extra yard waste pickup set for next week
The city’s seasonal yard waste collection program is back next week by popular demand.
Monday through Friday, next week only, city workers will collect bundled yard waste on residents’ regularly scheduled refuse pickup day.
The yard waste was scheduled to take place twice a month, from May through August only. The city will do one additional pickup due to the number of requests for it, City Clerk Richelle Pasceri said.
Yard waste includes prunings, bush and hedge trimmings, thatch, flower and vegetable plants, leaves and organic mulch. Grass clippings are not included.
